Our Athens Area SHRM Chapter will be meeting Tuesday, November 10 , 2009 at the Georgia Center.  Networking will begin at 5:30pm followed by dinner and presentation.

José A. De La Cruz will be speaking to our chapter about how we can maximize organizational effectiveness in a crosscultural environment.

The changes in the U.S. demographic landscape have produced a cultural renaissance.  What with geographic nuances, multiple generations, and a kaleidoscope of people at work, organizational effectiveness is only as good as its ability to lead across cross-cultural frontiers.  This workshop will examine the changes in labor pool demographcis and explore how to leverage these changes to align cultural competence with organizational objectives and examine tactics for increasing leadership effectiveness across cross-cultural frontiers at work.

José A. De La Cruz is a human resources executive with over 30 years of experience in human capital management solutions, organizational effectiveness strategies, cross-cultural enrichment, and diversity management programs.  His work background includes private industry and government and assignments in union and non-union environments.
